The state of Wisconsin Department of Administration/Department of Facilities Development (DOA/DFD), in conjunction with University of Wisconsin System and on behalf of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, has retained Tetra Tech to prepare an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the proposed construction of the UW-Madison College of Engineering Building Replacement. The proposed project is designed to replace the aging 1410 Engineering Drive building and provide a new academic instructional/research building. The EIA was prepared in accordance with the Wisconsin Environmental Policy Act (WEPA) and Wisconsin Statutes 1.11, as well as the in accordance to specific elements from the UWSA adoption of these statutes (1999 version).
Available for download below is the Final EIA Report demonstrating compliance with WEPA requirements and the recommendation for conclusion of the WEPA process (with a recommendation to not elevate this process to an Environmental Impact Statement). This Final EIA Report will be hosted on the website until August 30, 2024.
